Ep 54 - Freedom with Forgiveness
In this Bible Study, we read about twin brothers Jacob and Esau.
Jacob coerced Esau out of his birthright and later stole his blessing from their father Isaac.
Esau vowed to kill him, but later forgave him. We never hear an apology or a verbal statement of forgiveness, but it's there.
How do you forgive someone who kills or harms someone you love? Whose offense affects generations? Whose words or actions cause devastating heartbreak? What if there's no apology, or if an apology can't restore what was lost? Can you still forgive?
Scriptures:
Genesis 25:24-34, 27:1-45 - the offenses
Genesis 32:3-21, 33:1-17 - the reconciliation
